I had set up a get together with Karen, Richard and Gloria. We agreed to meet somewhere in the midlands, maybe Carlow. I took a train expecting it to deposit me somewhere else but instead it deposited me in Carlow. I looked at WhatsApp to let the guys know I was there but I couldn't get their attention and they didn't seem to remember our get together. I stayed in the old house I lived in when I was in college. It took me a while to realise that I didn't live there anymore and I may be sleeping in someone else's room. The room I was sleeping in looked like Don's room from Mount Merrion. Eventually we got a landlord inspection and the landlord for some reason was Nigel Mercier, my old drama coach. When he saw me he assumed that I had never stopped living there. He said he was glad to see I was still there. He then went around the house inspecting the cleanliness of it and he thought the house looked good. My mom all of a sudden was there for some reason and she felt that I should take up the mantle of recently retired professional wrestler, Sting. We went out back to the shed because she insisted there was a sting costume out there. Instead there was just half a Jason Vorhees mask. As we walked away mom was bitterly disappointed that I wouldn't become the next Sting. I wanted to get her attention about something so I told her to stop sulking about me now wanting to become Sting. She seemed to smile when I said this.
This dream could be interpreted as reflecting your feelings of potential isolation or disconnect in your relationships. The setting of the dream, with the forgotten get-together and lack of communication with Karen, Richard, and Gloria, may suggest feelings of being overlooked or forgotten by those around you.
The train unexpectedly taking you to Carlow when you were expecting to go elsewhere could symbolize feeling out of control or uncertain about where you are headed in your waking life. The confusion about living in a house from your past and possibly sleeping in someone else's room could signify a sense of nostalgia or revisiting the past, but also feeling a bit displaced or unsure of where you currently belong.
The appearance of your old drama coach, Nigel Mercier, as the landlord inspecting the house may represent authority figures or mentors from your past influencing your current situation. His assumption that you had never stopped living in the house may symbolize a sense of continuity or a feeling of being stuck in a certain mindset or situation.
The interaction with your mom suggesting you take on the mantle of a retired wrestler could indicate a desire for recognition, validation, or a need to live up to certain expectations, potentially from a parental figure. The disappointment about not finding the Sting costume and the mention of Jason Voorhees' mask could represent feelings of not living up to certain ideals or pressures to fit into a specific role or persona.
Overall, this dream may be prompting you to explore feelings of disconnection, nostalgia, uncertainty about your current path, and the pressure to live up to certain expectations. It could be beneficial to reflect on these themes and consider whether there are any unresolved emotions or desires in your waking life that may be influencing your subconscious mind.
